The opportunity
As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a cross-functional development team including product management, UI/UX, developers, and QA to deliver features and improvements to our platform. You will be responsible for enabling your team to deliver high-quality software efficiently while continuously improving engineering practices and developer experience.
You will also play a key role in driving modern engineering practices including the responsible use of AI-assisted development tools to enhance software delivery and product innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and empower an autonomous cross-functional team to design, build and improve solutions for our customers.
- Own the planning, execution and successful delivery of product features and enhancements.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies such as stand-ups and planning while ensuring blockers are quickly identified and resolved.
- Collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering leadership to continuously improve team culture, engineering practices and delivery effectiveness.
- Directly manage engineers on the team including goal setting, performance reviews, and regular 1-1s.
- Identify risks and roadblocks early and work proactively to resolve them.
AI-Enhanced Engineering Leadership
- Champion the responsible use of AI-assisted development tools to improve developer productivity, delivery speed and code quality.
- Establish good practices for AI-assisted engineering including validation of AI-generated outputs, code review standards and safe usage guidelines.
- Encourage experimentation with AI tools across the development lifecycle including testing, debugging, documentation and code exploration.
- Promote practical AI workflows that accelerate development while maintaining strong engineering standards and quality.
- Partner with Product and Design to explore opportunities where AI capabilities can enhance the Teamwork product experience for customers.
- Build AI literacy within the team by encouraging learning, sharing effective AI workflows and helping engineers understand the capabilities and limitations of AI tools.
- Ensure AI usage aligns with company standards regarding security, customer data protection and intellectual property.

- Experience leading or mentoring engineers and building high-performing teams.
- Strong technical background in full-stack development
