The opportunity
The transition to a new platform is a pivotal moment for our customers. We are looking for a Data Migration Specialist to join our Technical Services team to act as the technical bridge between a signed contract and a successful launch. You will be our first dedicated technical services resource in the Americas, joining forces with our EMEA experts to ensure our Western Hemisphere clients have a world-class migration experience.
This isn’t just about moving data from A to B; it’s about understanding a customer’s unique "why." You will sit with clients, map out their technical onboarding journey, and translate complex workflows into seamless data transitions. You are the "foot soldier" who gets the work done, but you also have the strategic mind to know when to pull in Engineering for the heavy lifting.
Responsibilities
- Pre-Sales Collaboration: Partner with the sales team during the final stages of an agreement to identify customization needs and technical scope.
- Technical Mapping: Lead discovery sessions with customers to map out data structures, workflows, and technical onboarding requirements.
- Execution: Own the end-to-end data migration process, ensuring accuracy and integrity as clients move their business-critical information into Teamwork.com.
- Integration Support: Leverage your experience with API and system integrations to solve complex connectivity challenges.
- Cross-functional Liaison: Translate customer problems into technical requirements for our Engineering and Product teams.
- Process Improvement: Help us look at our custom importers and identify ways to rebuild and optimize our internal tools for better efficiency.
- Identify repeat migration or integration challenges
Requirements
- The Technical Foundation: Proven experience in Data Migration and a deep awareness of the complexities involved (mapping, cleaning, and validating data).
- Integration Expert: Crucial experience with API integrations and connecting disparate B2B systems.
- Master Communicator: You can sit across from an Enterprise stakeholder and explain technical hurdles in a way that builds trust and clarity.
- Problem Solver: You don’t just flag issues; you find the root cause and map out the solution.
- Action-Oriented: You have a ‘doer’ mentality - you are happy to roll up your sleeves and do the manual work required to get a client across the finish line.
- Experience: Previous experience in a post-sales onboarding or technical implementation role within a SaaS environment is highly preferred.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working as a contractor in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
